Questions drivers ask

Is the urinalysis a drug test?

No. The DOT physical urinalysis checks protein, blood, sugar, and specific gravity as part of the medical exam. It is not a drug screen.

How much does it cost?

Our launch special is $95 (standard price $119). The flat fee includes the full physical exam and in-office urinalysis.

Do you take insurance?

DOT physicals are a flat cash-pay fee. Many employers reimburse drivers; we'll give you a receipt.

How long is a medical card good for?

Up to 24 months. The examiner may issue a shorter certification (for example 1 year, 6 months, or 3 months) if a condition such as blood pressure needs monitoring.

What if I don't pass today?

Your examiner will explain exactly why and what you need next, such as records from your doctor or a follow-up visit.

How long does the exam take?

Most exams take about 20–25 minutes when your intake forms are finished before you arrive.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Exams are by appointment so you're not stuck waiting in a lobby.

Do you have Spanish-speaking staff?

Yes. Our team includes bilingual staff. Ask for Spanish when you call.
